History

People and Love Succeed Family Fostering Services of Western Oklahoma, Inc. (PALS Family, Inc.) was founded by Amanda Hills. PALS Family, Inc. was incorporated on April 24th, 2020 as a not-for-profit entity in the State of Oklahoma. Filing for tax-exempt 501(c) 3 status is forthcoming. 

Amanda and her husband, Jake Dodson, became foster parents in the State of Oklahoma in January 2016, having 11 children come into their home for care to date. In January and February 2017, three young siblings came into their home and the Hills-Dodson family is now in the process of adopting the beautiful children they have tirelessly cared for in the past 3.5 years. 

Having learned a great deal about foster care, trauma, abuse, and neglect, Amanda realized the need for more support in Western Oklahoma, and founded PALS Family, Inc. to meet that need. Amanda has been an advocate for more resources to help not only foster children and foster families, but for biological families as well. She aims to help end the cycle of dysfunction causing generation after generation of families to remain in the trenches of the Oklahoma Child Welfare System. Through extensive research, interviews, and encouragement, PALS Family, Inc. was founded as a multi-focused program to develop and implement a positive program of foster parents, foster children and their biological families.
